Currently Ken is performing and writing with Cathy Kreger. A very talented New York folk rock artist who has several solo albums. Together they have a band What It Iz, with Chris Elsener Jr on bass and Jamie Betty on drums.

Ken has a long history on the New York and Long Island musical scene.He's been in many original rock groups, jazz fusion projects, and a professional sideman through the years.The roots of his guitar style, came from many of the classic rock players. Later in his career he gravitated towards jazz. He went on to study with renown guitarist and teacher Billy Bauer. During this time he immersed himself in the world of jazz and composition. It is this musical journey through rock and jazz that has come to define Ken's guitar playing and writing.

His debut album ACROSS the BOARD is a perfect example of this journey. It showcases 11 great tunes, all composed by Ken Talve. Ken enlisted the help of fellow musicians, Mike Frost on Bass, Brian Dunn on Drums, Tim Regusis on Keyboards and David Mann on Saxophone who has worked with Tower of Power, Paul Simon, Chieli Minucci, Chuck Loeb and many more artists, to make this album become a reality.
